Sports This Week
Interested in Playing Sports at Long?
All Fall Sports (football, cross country, volleyball) physicals are due June 1st. Please turn in or email physical forms to Coach Jennifer Garcia (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Parents need to get on RankOne Sport and complete emergency forms and UIL participation forms. When filling out forms make sure you put 2016-2017 school year.
If you are from an academy, please make sure you put your school down as J.L. Long. If it says ID# not found, please contact Coach Jennifer Garcia and give her your child’s name, ID #, and what sport your child will participate in. She will then call RankOne and get your child put in the system. Athletes WILL NOT practice or play until all paperwork is completed.

Ways to Help
Help Ms. Schmidt get the Band to DC for the Veterans Day Parade in November!
Our students were invited to perform in Washington DC at the Parade of Heroes Veterans Day Ceremony -- and they are the ONLY middle school from Texas invited to participate. We need to raise a lot of money to give EVERY child the chance to go! Please help if you can!
Click here for the Donor's Choose site.
Also, we had some items left from our silent auction, and some of the items were pretty great, like subscriptions to Dallas Theater Center. We have created an online silent auction at https://www.32auctions.com/BucBandAuction Check it out!
Congrats to our Long Athletes of the Year!
Sydney Gill & Wesley Adams exemplified athleticism, sportsmanship and leadership both on the the field and off all year. Great job and good luck to you at Woodrow!
